Sylvie wants to attract crochet addicts to her shop, and as crochet is my meditation & creating addictions my mission, I left the shop with yarn for 3 specific projects that are now in place to get some attention.
Here are the project details :
This pattern by Kristin Omdahl has always fascinated knitters who refuse to believe it’s crocheted. I love making this beret in between projects (available as part of the “Crochet so Fine” e-book on Interweave crochet). Follow the link to my Ravelry project page & fascinate in turn.
This giant cowl is totally the sort of thing I want to wear when I’m reading in my sofa with a hot cup of tea. Love love love the texture of the yarn & ribbed effect. You’ll find the link to the free PurlBee pattern on my Ravelry project page.
This cowl was inspired by the texture & crazy colours of Katia’s USHUAIA super-bulky yarn. When you find yourself faced with this type of yarn, you need a simple stitch to show it off. A detailed stitch will not show the stitches or the yarn in a good way.
So. Between my medical appointments and yoga and meditation, I find time in the evening to comfort-crochet. I like knowing that some of these creations are now part of a super comforting shop in one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the province.
