Description

What’s this: These are the Dobby socks.

Why should I make these: If you’ve ever looked longingly at self-striping sock yarn – usually meant for knit socks – and wished for a pattern that would make these stripes work with crochet, you’ve come to the right place!

When will these get the most use: I dunno ‘bout you, but I wear socks A LOT!

Who are they for: This pattern is offered in a variety of sizes from baby to adult.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate – you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches, and working in the round. You will need 110g of self-striping fingering weight yarn (used here, Sock Star by Fibrelya) & a 3.5 mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
