Description

What’s this: This is the Kravitz Scarf. It is my 4th design for Design Wars.

Why should I make this: As much as he was made fun of for it at the time, the iconic picture of Lenny Kravitz wearing a humongous scarf has stuck with me. When blanket scarves became the hot thing last year, I jumped on the bandwagon… soon to jump right off, because a very large square is just not as easy to drape perfectly as a very long rectangle is.

When will this get the most use: Whenever you need an all-day hug!

Who is it for: Just about anyone!

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate – you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches, colour changing & overlay stitches. You will need 1 100g of bulky weight yarn (used  here, Billow by KnitPicks (700g main colour, 200g ea of 2 complementary colours)) & a 6 mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
