Description

What’s this: This is the Unicorn convertible cowl.

See also the free pattern for the matching Unicorn mittens here:http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/unicorn-mittens-2

Why should I make this: Worn as a hat, this is a super feminine, slightly retro item. Worn as a cowl, it’s a great accessory for colder days.

When will this get the most use: As soon as it gets chilly.

Who is it for: Pattern is sized small (18’’), medium (20’’), large (22’’).

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate – You’ll need to be comfortable with crochet. You will need 100g of Worsted weight yarn (used here: Expression Fiber Arts) & a 5 mm hook. Other notions: 2x .5’’ / 1.25 cm buttons, a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.

A word about the yarn: Found on Expression Fiber Arts, this pearlescent worsted made me swoon the whole time I worked with it. Impossibly soft & those colours… Thank you, Chandi, for creating such beautiful yarns.
