Crochet Style by Jennifer Dougherty

I recently received a copy of Crochet Style for review. Here are my thoughts.

Jennifer Dougherty is the designer behind Crochet by Jennifer. At current count, Jennifer has over 230 patterns to her name. You’ve seen her, namely, in Happily Hooked Magazine & on The Crochet Café. Jennifer’s patterns feature gorgeous textures, and while she does have a clear love for baby items & photo props, most of her patterns are sized all the way to adult =)

While the book is targeted at intermediate crocheters, many of the patterns can be crocheted by beginners. My opinion on this is that beginners with enough patience and a ‘frog it til you make it‘ mindset can get by without too much attention given to levels. That said, if this does worry you, don’t let it. This book has everything.

The book includes more than 30 patterns, divided into 3 sections: Trendy & Urban, Casual & Sporty, and Classic & Timeless.

All of the patterns are offered in a variety of sizes from baby to adult, and most are genderless. The book is beautifully photographed and put together. Everything is so clean and pleasing to look at! One particularly nice touch is that the instructions for different sizes are coloured throughout the pattern, eliminating the need to do that step yourself or risk mixing things up!

You will definitely want to add this one to your collection! Crochet Style releases November 22nd, but you can preorder it right now on Amazon.
