Knitcrate introduced curators last year as part of the subscription offer. These curators are industry people that curate the colours and themes for each month’s offering. I love the idea of togetherness behind the theme here. Inspired by the work of Kristi Glass Knits who introduces us to industry makers in her YouTube channel, a collaborative theme like Squad Goals is something I can definitely get behind.
The yarn: In this month’s Knitcrate, I received Audine Wools Twinkle DK in color way Knit Yorker, a beautiful lilac shade with Stellina for a magical sparkle. The mix of merino wool and cashmere makes this DK weight yarn amazingly soft.
The patterns: The crochet patterns in this month’s Knitcrate Inspiration magazine include a lace scarf, a pair of socks and a beautiful vest. The knitting patterns are for a triangle shawl, yoga socks and a pullover. I’m a big fan of the Nostalgia vest by Shay Johnson / Knit and Croshay.
The goodies: This month’s crate included a really cool drawstring bag. The bag is good quality and a perfect size to carry any of the projects from this month… or to show off your love of yarn, knitting and crochet when you’re out and about!
Overall: Despite challenges with supplies and shipping since the start of the pandemic, Knitcrate has really kept on top of things. I give them 3 thumbs up for the way they’ve kept us informed throughout, for the eco crate option, and for always sending their subscribers beautiful yarns and patterns.
