The theme for this Knitcrate is Paradisio: colourful birds, trees in bloom, clear waters. The colours are striking in both the membership and sock crates. Once again, the membership colours have my heart.
Maya Luna Corazon (YouTube link) is the curator for this month’s box. Her mission is to design modern crochet clothing to support women in seeing their true beauty. In her intro in Inspirations magazine, she writes this one powerful sentence: “Not everyone wants to be looked at, but everyone wants to be seen.” Medidate on that.
The yarn for this month is Audine Wools Sleek, a lustrous blend of baby alpaca, merino and mulberry silk. This one feels so good against your skin!
The membership colours are gorgeous – I received the green, but the orange and blue are amazing too.
The crochet patterns are by Maya Luna Corazon (sleeves) and Katrina King (sock). While I am not a huge fan of the crochet patterns this month, I am a fan of Maya’s amazing designs in general and am super happy to have discovered her!
I received a super cute glow in the dark stitch marker =)
This time around, I’m most in love with the yarn. It’s super soft and the colour is amazing. I don’t believe I would get around to the patterns on offer, but discovering a powerful feminine force of a designer was really cool. You can read more about the September box here.
