Last week, I introduced you to my Almost the same socks. I also mentionned I really needed to talk to you about this yarn. Let’s do this!
I seriously love discovering new hand dyed yarns. I’m sure you’ll have noticed this! Lambstrings Yarns, by Shanna Felice, is a relatively recent addition to this world. Shanna is playful and lovely on social media. Her yarns are just beautifully photographed. I had to try them.
I ended up purchasing 2 skeins of Lambstrings Yarns, MCN Sock, in the Kittiwake colourway.
Lambstrings Yarns, MCN Sock
80% SW Merino / 10% Cashmere / 10% Nylon)
100g (435 yds)
Machine washable; lay flat to dry.
The cashmere in this yarn makes it incredibly soft & delicious to work with. The yarn simply does not split, which is awesome for projects on smaller hooks. Because of the nylon content, I wanted to use these initial skeins for socks, but this yarn is totally wearable. I would use this for beautiful clothing, shawls, handwarmers, hats… beautiful fiber.
