Description

What’s this: This is the Blueberry Jam Sweater. It is my 2nd design for Design Wars (and it won, squeee!).

Why should I make this: I love asymmetrical sweaters; sweaters that can be worn over more basic items to create a polished look. Layering is my Fall and Winter go to fashion tip. Blueberry Jam is a neat little sweater because it can be worn with jeans & a white tank top on weekends, paired with a skirt and blouse for work, or over a simple black dress for an evening out. It’s also easily customizable: leave off the sleeves to make a vest, or work more pattern repeats for a longer top. It’s all up to you!

When will this get the most use: Whenever it gets chilly!

Who is it for: Teens to Ladies, Sized 36” and under, up to 44”.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate – you’ll need to be comfortable with crochet & asymmetrical shaping. You will need 500g to 800g of worsted weight yarn (used here, Boutique Treasure by Red Heart Yarns) & a 6,5 mm hook. Other notions: 1 optional decorative button, a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
