Description

What’s this: This is the Theoretically Shawl. It was designed in collaboration with Julie Asselin Hand-dyed yarns & is a Tunisian crochet pattern.

Why should I make this: This shawl is called ‘Theoretically’ because despite the number of shawls I make, I mostly wear them as scarves; therefore this is a shawl only in Theory! This is a Tunisian crochet pattern.

Leizu DK dyed by the Talented Julie Asselin is one of my favorite go to yarns for both its squishiness & its lovely colours. Can’t go wrong!

When will this get the most use: Whenever you need some warmth!

Who is it for: All of the shawl lovers out there, or those who like to wear scarves.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Advanced – You’ll need to know (or be eager to learn) Tunisian crochet stitches and principles (the pattern explains these in simple terms). You will need 115g of DK weight yarn in each of 3 colours (used here: Leizu DK by Julie Asselin Hand-dyed yarns) & a 7mm interchangeable Tunisian hook with cord. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
