In the world of crafting, there’s a brand that has been weaving its magic and capturing the hearts of DIY enthusiasts. Hobbii, known for its premium yarn and a wide range of crafting materials, offers a delightful experience for every craftsperson. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a budding crocheter, Hobbii has something for you. In this blog post, I’ll share my thoughts on Hobbii yarn, and show you how the 5 yarns I chose for this review worked up.
All the yarns mentionned below were sent to me free of charge, and all opinions are my own.
Variety and collaboration
Hobbii’s yarn collection is like a treasure trove for us crocheters. Hobbii yarn covers the entire spectrum of textures, weights, and colors, catering to various crafting needs. They have natural fibers, acrylics, plant-based… something for everyone, basically.
The cost is also more than reasonnable for the quality. I recommend shopping local whenever possible, but also understand that for some, that’s not possible due to location, availability or budget. Hobbii is a great choice for anyone on a budget or located in a yarn desert.
As a designer, working with Hobbii has been amazing. They are generous with both the yarn and the social engagement, with the array of colors providing an inspiring palette for my crochet projects.
As you can see, for this review I chose all yellows to have a good basis for comparison.
That said, with their wide range of hues and shades, you’re sure to find the perfect color for your next project. Seriously, one of the best aspects of Hobbii yarn is the incredible diversity of colours at your fingertips. Whether you’re drawn to the elegance of neutrals, the rich allure of jewel tones, or the soft, soothing palette of pastels, Hobbii has it all.
Reviews and Patterns
Crocheters often rely on reviews to make informed choices about their purchases. Hobbii’s yarn has garnered a strong community of crafters who passionately share their experiences. You can find a wealth of reviews online that highlight the quality, softness, and durability of Hobbii yarn.
But that’s not all; Hobbii goes a step further by offering a plethora of patterns. These patterns cater to a range of skill levels and many are available for free. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you’ll find patterns that you’ll love.
If you find yourself gravitating to their paid offerings, consider becoming a HobbiiPLUS member. Membership grants you 3 Plus pattern downloads and a bunch of other perks.
One important thing to note is that when ordering Hobbii products, you may have to pay customs fees. Hobbii’s bags are clearly identified to ensure they don’t go through the border unnoticed. So, be prepared for any potential customs charges when ordering from Hobbii.
Now, let’s talk about the fun part – how am I planning to use each of the yarns I received from Hobbii? I created swatches to showcase the stitch definition. I’m curious to read what you think of how they worked up.
My experience with Hobbii yarn has been nothing short of fantastic. The yarn is soft, fun to work with, and the colors are absolutely stunning. I’m planning to use the different types of yarn for various projects… Who am I kidding… I’m going to be crocheting yellow socks. And when the yarn doesn’t allow for that, I’ll be incorporating them into my next magic cake shawl.
I’m not generally a yellow person, but I’m particularly fond of the vivid yellows in my Hobbii yarn selection.
PS Hobbii sends out the most delicious candy with their order. If you don’t like them, send them my way. I’m addicted.
